MJR’s New Novel Casts a Spell over Readers

Toronto (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 - The story of the Salem Witch Trials has captured the imaginations of great writers such as Nathanial Hawthorne and Arthur Miller. Author MJR now joins their ranks with his new book, "I Am Dianna" (published by iUniverse), an enticing blend of modernity and the supernatural.

"This book was originally written in a ninth-grade English class as a 1,000-word story about the supernatural," says MJR. "For whatever reason, it has stuck with me all these years and was the subject of my first book."

MJR introduces readers to Dianna Dubois, a stunning Manhattan artist whose been having some very unpleasant dreams. Every night, she is transported back to the 1692 Salam Witch Trials where she is tortured and tried as a witch by Sir Theobald Bartholomew Farrington. Terrified of falling asleep, Dianna seeks the help of Dr. Raymond Williams, a clairsentient, who is able to watch Dianna’s dreams through hypnosis. As the past begins to spill into the present, Dianna and Dr. Raymond must figure out how to control the past before it consumes them.

With its engaging characters and historical accuracy, "I Am Dianna" is sure to please and thrill readers to the very last page. "The book hits the reader with more force, as the protagonist is a modern woman from Manhattan who suffers this degradation within her dreams, although their consequences spill into reality," says MJR.
